Pinch of Baking Soda


Soak Urad Dal 3- 4 Hours


Soak Idli Rava for 2 -3 Hours


 
Appy soaked urad dal for grinding in mixie
  



Paste of urad dal after grinding


 
Take out Idli Rava after soaking



Mix up Idli Rava with Urad dal paste



Add Salt



Add pinch of Baking soda


Stir the mixture well and keep to it for a night


Peel off the carrot make in to pieces



Place the mixture in Idli Plate
  


Add carrot pieces to it



Keep it on Steam



Idlis are ready to serve


Preparation;


Soak urad dal / Black gram for 4 -5 hours in water. Soak Idli Rava for 2 – 3 hours in water. Well soaked urad dal to be applied for grinding in mixie until it becomes paste. Now take the Idli Rava out from water and mix it with Urad dal paste. Stir it well until both are mixed up well. Now add 2 table spoons of Salt and a pinch of baking Soda in it. Keep the mixture for a fortnight to get the soft Idlis come out.In the morning Take 4 carrots wash it well, Peel and grate it. Now take Idli mixture pour it in Idli plates .Add small pieces of grated Carrot to each Idli.Pour some water in Idli cooker bowl and keep the Idli Plates in it. Close the cover of Idli cooker. Keep it on for a steam for 10 -15mts on Media flames until the whistle comes.Now keep the idli cooker down, take the idli plates out. With the help of a spoon take out idlis from plates.Now Idlis are ready to eat.
